Do something for yourself, something that you will feel good about and makes you feel like a better person. Your family is very important. I can't say that I have a daily activity (other than taking care of my family...which I am VERY passionate about) to retreat to at the end of the day, or at any point during my busy day. I would love to have 15 minutes of my husband's time when it was just us to discuss our day and thoughts...with a cup of coffee or a bowl of ice cream! This happened to be a song I really enjoy, and I was able to get it into a rough demo. Today, I spent a lot of time getting my music website looking and functioning the way I want it to.
